Pants and the Environment
It is astounding how much information we're collecting right now about the effect of pants on the environment. Here are some ways that pants are royally screwing our planet and all the people on it, their children, and their children's children*.
- Pants require A LOT of cotton, sometimes.
- The amount of water and soap and stuff needed to wash pants every year is upwards of 14 million gallons per minute per household in some areas.
- Pants are flammable, and the fires burn a lot of oxygen and pollute forests and beaches.
- Landfills around the world have more pants than they know what to do with. If only we had just not worn them to begin with...
We're still working on collecting all the exact statistical information. But to be honest, we're not working THAT hard on it.
